CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

 

The 5th Biennial Ontario Paediatric Palliative Care Symposium is being held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel.

Oral Presentations

We are now accepting brief oral presentation submissions for our “What’s New in Pediatric Palliative Care?” session. Presentations will be in a “lightning talks” format: less than 5-minute talks showcasing recent innovations, research and program development from across the province and beyond.

If you wish to submit an abstract for the brief oral presentations, please adhere to the following instructions and complete the Submission form  

1. Indicate the title of abstract (no abbreviations)
2. Indicate presenter’s full name, credentials, title, affiliations, and email address
3. Indicate co-authors’ full names and their credentials
4. Provide a paragraph (maximum 250 words) describing your study or innovation, including:
   1. What’s known about this topic?
   2. What was your project?
   3. What can we learn from your project?

 

Posters

This year we are also planning for an informal poster viewing. If you have a poster already printed for another conference in the last 2 years, please let us know. If we have enough posters, we will include a viewing during the cocktail hour. Presenters will not be required to remain with their poster.

Additional Information

Abstracts for oral presentations and posters can be submitted electronically until March 25, 2026. Authors of accepted abstracts will receive an email confirmation, along with specific details for the presentation timing and format.

 

The first author of accepted oral presentations must attend the symposium and is required to register and pay a reduced registration fee by May 1, 2026. Poster authors and additional authors for oral presentations may register at the regular symposium fee. Presentations may be cancelled if the primary presenter registration fee is not received by May 1, 2026.
